Scar Care – Every Scar Tells a Story, But You Can Change How It Feels
At Fascia & Physio, we know scars are a part of life—whether from surgery, accidents, or the occasional run-in with a rogue coffee table corner! But just because a scar is there, doesn’t mean it has to be stiff, sore, or limit your movement.
Our gentle, hands-on scar care services are designed to help improve mobility, reduce discomfort, and restore confidence—whether your scar is fresh or has been hanging around for years. That’s right, old scars can absolutely be treated too!
The earlier you seek advice, the better the results tend to be, so don’t wait until your scar starts shouting for attention. Let’s get it feeling (and moving) better now. You—and your skin—deserve it.
Book a session or get in touch to chat about how we can help your scar feel a little less… well, scar-y.

60-Minute Scar Check Appointment
This one-to-one session is designed to assess how your scar is healing and how it may be influencing your overall movement, posture, and comfort. Whether your scar is from a recent procedure or something further in the past, we’ll take the time to understand your concerns and check for any signs of tightness, sensitivity, or restriction. We’ll also look at how your body is moving as a whole—scars can sometimes create tension patterns that affect more than just the area around them. During the session, you’ll receive gentle hands-on treatment, as well as personalised advice on stretching, mobility work, and movement strategies to help restore freedom and flow in your body.
It’s a great first step towards feeling more comfortable, confident, and well-connected from head to toe.

Regular scar treatment is key to improving comfort, movement, and long-term healing. These sessions focus on softening and mobilising scar tissue, reducing symptoms like pulling, pain, tightness, or itchiness—and are especially important if you have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring.
We use hands-on techniques alongside targeted scar care products such as silicone gels, massage tools, and topical creams to support healing between visits. We also look at how your scar may be affecting your whole-body movement, posture, and flexibility.
Whether your scar is new or years old, ongoing treatment gives you the best chance for lasting results. Consistent care helps restore comfort, ease, and confidence in your body.

Products to compliment Scar Healing
We use a variety of high-quality products to optimise scar healing
-
Silicon is considered the Gold Standard in improving scar healing, especially for hypertrophic and keloid scars.
It maintains a barrier to keep your scar hydrated, this promotes healing and decreases the amount of times you need to attend to your scar care on a daily basis.
We are proud users of Scarban and BAPScar products.
-
Depending on where your scar is located and how it is healing, we have silicon for all types.
It can be as easy as putting on your moisturiser, silicon cover and then off to your day.

Scars benefit from being hydrated, either through a moisturiser or an oil.
This allows your scar to heal quicker, often with a improved cosmetic look.
Not to mention, it can stop itching, pulling and other symptoms from affecting your healing.
-
Both products are suitable for assisting in hydrating your scar.
In a Scar Therapy session, we discuss which product is optimal for your scar, your healing and your preference.
Products we use are MooGoo Udder Cream, MooGoo Rosehip Oil and Alhydran
